In Avla, you can market your stallion and reach mare owners who are actively looking for breeding stallions. Below we explain how it works – step by step – and what’s good to know along the way.
🛑 Important first: Approved stallions
Only stallions approved for breeding can be marketed in Avla.
When creating the ad, you must confirm that the stallion is approved according to the relevant studbook or regulations. This helps ensure quality and clarity for mare owners using the app.
🐴 How to market your stallion
1. Create an account
Start by creating an account in the app (or log in if you already have one).
2. Go to the Breeding tab
Open Breeding in the app – this is where everything related to stallions, ads and breeding is gathered.
3. Tap “Market stallion”
- Tap “Market stallion”, or
- tap the ➕ icon if you already have a stallion ad and want to add another.
4. Search for your stallion
Search for the stallion in the database.
- If he already exists as a profile – select him.
- If not, you can create a new horse profile.
5. Confirm breeding approval
Mark that the stallion is approved for breeding.
(Only approved stallions can proceed to an ad.)
6. Fill in the ad information
When the ad is created, it is hidden by default.
To make it visible, you need to add:
- How the stallion is available (FAI, TAI, AI, natural breeding)
- Where he is available (specific countries, EU or worldwide)
- Prices and fees
- Contact details and optional stud station
Once this is completed, the ad can be published and will be visible to mare owners.
💡 Good to know
🔒 You can hide an ad at any time
Perfect if the stallion is temporarily unavailable. A hidden ad is not shown as an active breeding stallion.
To hide the ad: tap “Edit ad”, scroll down, toggle “Hide ad” and tap “Save”.
🖼️ A cover image is required
The stallion must have a cover image to appear in the Stallion tab.
🗑️ Only delete the ad if the stallion will no longer be used for breeding
If it’s just a break, hide the ad instead.
💸 Advertising is completely free
No hidden fees or costs.
🔁 The ad must be confirmed every year
Before each new breeding season, you need to actively confirm that the ad is still valid.
You can:
- keep the same information, or
- update what has changed and then confirm
This helps keep all information up to date for mare owners.
