Quibery

Quibery is a Holsteiner stallion born in 2011, a son of Quintero — who had a successful international Grand Prix show jumping career with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. His dam Zenit is a daughter of Caretino and comes from the well-known Buehne mare line in Holstein, the same family that produced the stallions Cortez, Coventry, and Come On. Zenit is a full sister to Come On and dam of Nobless M, who won team bronze at the 2008 Hong Kong Olympics under Pius Schwizer. As a young horse, Quibery won the Holstein State Championship for five-year-old show jumpers and went on to compete up to 1.45m level, stationed at Rolf-Göran Bengtsson's yard before an injury ended his competition career. In Holstein, Quibery has produced four approved sons: Quabrie and Querido, both with international placings up to 1.45m, as well as Qandero and Quirambole van de Helle. He has also produced state premium mares competing successfully at 1.40–1.45m level. In 2023 he ranked among the ten most successful stallions in Holstein based on offspring competition results, with Quila placing in the top ten among five-year-olds and Querida, Quendresa, and Queen Pepparmint among the top three six-year-olds.
