TONIC DES METS is a 2007 bay Selle Français stallion by Ogrion des Champs, bred by Jean and Marie Renner in France. Standing 173 cm, he's considered one of the best sons of Ogrion des Champs and currently his highest-indexed offspring at ISO 170. Under owner-rider Jacques Helmlinger he built one of the most consistent careers in French show jumping, maintaining an ISO 150+ rating for ten consecutive seasons with around 50 victories. Results include a win in the CSI3* 1.55m Grand Prix of Knokke, 2nd in the CSI3* 1.55m Grand Prix of Mannheim and Beervelde, 3rd in the CSI3* 1.55m Grand Prix of Vittel, and the title of 2015 Pro 2 French Champion alongside rider Laurent Faivre. His pedigree is notably free of the Galoubet, Diamant de Semilly and Quidam de Revel bloodlines, making him an interesting outcross for a wide variety of mares. Described as careful, fast, well-balanced and endowed with massive scope, he's now passing his heart and technique on to his first offspring, including Impalla du Quesnoy, a French Championship finalist placed in the 7-year-old 1.40m Grand Prix.
