He is a young BWP stallion with a superb pedigree on both his sire’s and dam’s sides. Both I'm Special's dam Walnut de Muze (by Nabab de Rêve–Chin Chin) and his sire Emerald van 't Ruytershof (by Diamant de Semilly–Carthago) have been successfully competed at the highest international level by Harrie Smolders. With Walnut de Muze, Harrie won gold with the Dutch team in the Nations Cup at both Spruce Meadows in Canada and Dublin. The pair also represented the Netherlands at the European Championships in Windsor and the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, and won Grand Prix events in Mechelen, San Patrignano, and Pioltello. In addition to I'm Special, Walnut has also produced the stallion Falaise de Muze (by Wandor van de Mispelaere). I'm Special’s granddam is none other than the supermare Querly Chin, who competed with Christophe Barbeau in the World Cup Final. After her showjumping career, Querly Chin has distinguished herself as one of Belgium’s—and perhaps the world’s—most successful broodmares. Godkänd för SWB 1-sto-licens.
