About Matisse de Mariposa

The vice champion of the 2015 BWP Stallion Selection comes from a renowned lineage. Indeed, Matisse's grandmother, Adeline (s. Power Light), is none other than the dam of Pénélope Leprevost's former Olympic topper, Flora de Mariposa. Matisse's dam, Inabelle de Mariposa is a daughter of the Hanoverian hallmark sire Stakkato. His sire Diamant de Sémilly needs no introduction at all and has been one of the best sires in the world for years. Matisse de Mariposa was one of the champions in the 4-year-olds category at the PAVO Stallion Competition, and endorsed his potential in the following years with some great performances in competition for 5- and 6-year-olds. Later, he performed at international level under Bernardo Alves. Matisse's first crop (°2016) confirmed all the trust put in him with a number of approved stallions. From that same crop, Madness de Tiji Z, Qwando van de Rispen and Quintus vd Bisschop are already jumping at 1.40m level.
