Sir Donnerhall I is a dark bay Oldenburg stallion born in 2001, bred by Maik Kanitzky in Wardenburg, Germany. He was second Reserve Champion at the Oldenburg licensing in 2003, won his stallion performance test and received the Ia main premium in 2005, and became German Champion and Vice World Champion for five-year-olds in 2006. He ranks among the top four dressage sires in the world according to the WBFSH rankings. Among his Grand Prix offspring are Olympic participant Samhitas with Kelly Layne, European Championship participants Santiago Song and Sangraal, and World Cup-successful horses including Sir Caramello OLD and Syriana with Mary Hanna. Sir Hohenstein won team gold and silver at the U25 European Championships. In breeding, his daughters Sir Heinrich, Cindy OLD, Candy OLD, Caty OLD, and Casey OLD have all won gold medals at the German Championships, and Sa Coeur became double World Champion and P.S.I. Auction top price at 2.31 million euros. He has produced over 100 licensed sons, with notable dam sons including Champion Stallions Dynamic Dream, Feinrich, Glock's Total U.S. with Edward Gal, and Fürst Bayram OLD with Frederic Wandres. His sire Sandro Hit was World Champion and German Champion and is one of the most influential dressage sires of modern times.
