About Kaiser des Forets VDL
Kaiser received excellent scores at his KWPN performance test – 7.5 for jumping, 8.5 for rideability, and 8.0 for attitude.
His dam, Lavande des Forêts, is also the mother of the internationally renowned Grand Prix mare Ulysse des Forêts, successfully competed by Steve Guerdat. In addition, she produced several other international show jumpers:

Vent des Forêts (1.45m),
Tchao des Forêts (1.40m),
as well as Glamour des Forêts, the full brother of Kaiser and an approved stallion with Zangersheide.
Kaiser’s granddam, Grace des Forêts, has also contributed significantly to top-level sport. Her offspring include:
Quapitole des Forêts (1.60m, ridden by Fredric Bouvard),
Un Diamant des Forêts – a Selle Français approved stallion with international 1.60m success under Canadian rider Jim Ifko,
Vivaldi des Forêts (1.50m), and
Blondy des Forêts (1.40m).
The great-granddam, May Flower III, laid the foundation for a lineage rich in approved stallions and top-level show jumpers, including Zirocco Blue VDL. She herself produced no fewer than six approved stallions, several of whom competed up to Grand Prix level, such as Nicos de la Cense and Stew Boy.
This dam line has also produced numerous other international Grand Prix horses, including
Roi des Forêts (by Indoctro) and Torpedo des Forêts.
Kaiser’s sire, Contendro I, is considered one of the most influential sons of Contender in modern breeding. He has produced numerous approved stallions and over 50 international-level show jumpers, including 14 that compete at 1.60m. His progeny include:
Cold Play (World Equestrian Games horse with Fredrik Jönsson),
Codex One (1.60m),
Cinsey (1.60m),
Contendrix (1.60m as a ten-year-old),
Caruso (1.60m), and
VDL Group Carina (1.60m).
His pedigree includes multiple appearances of the legendary Ramiro Z.
The grandsire, Le Tot de Semilly, is a legendary stallion in his own right, sire of elite horses such as Diamant de Semilly and Itot du Chateau.
Third sire, Papillon Rouge, competed successfully at 1.60m level and joins a long line of elite performers in this outstanding pedigree.
