He was described as a harmonious, elegant stallion with natural self-carriage. His gaits were awarded 9.0 for walk, 8.5 for trot, and an impressive 9.5 for canter. The walk is relaxed, rhythmic, energetic, and shows good overtrack. The trot is rhythmic, carrying, elastic, with good range. Serious has a well-balanced, carrying, elastic, ground-covering, and supple canter. The test riders praised Serious' rideability, positive work attitude, and his lovely uphill canter. He has potential and truly shows uphill movement mechanics. Serious placed fourth in the SWB Stallion Trophy 2022, where Cathrine Laudrup Dufour praised him and saw him as a future Grand Prix horse. His sire, Secret, received a top score of 9.5 in dressage at his test in Schlieckau, including four 10.0s, and continued to dominate as a young stallion. He was runner-up at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf and has qualified for the Bundeschampionat three times, always finishing as champion or vice-champion. Both the dam Fleur d’Amour and the granddam Walonya are State Premium mares in Hanover. Walonya has produced offspring with placings up to St. Georges level. The great-granddam, La Rosa, is also a State Premium mare and has produced two offspring competing at M-level dressage.
