About Zino 1461

STALLION PERFORMANCE TEST WINNER 2022 – BACK IN BREEDING 2025! Zino 1461 – Winner of the SWB Stallion Trophy 2024! Zino was born in Germany, bred by Sabine Toll. He is owned by Peter Falk and Björn Svensson. His dam, Elite mare Bali, has not competed but has produced 8 foals, of which 4 received Old Fohlenprämie (premium foal award). His granddam, Ballerina, also did not compete but produced some top offspring, such as Aconit S (by Acobat II), who is a full brother to Zino's dam, Elite mare Bali. Aconit S has competed up to 1.60m (see photo 2). Another sibling is Quick Nick (by Quick Nick I), who competed up to 1.45m (see photo 3). She currently competes for Iran. The great-granddam, Baletta, did not compete but served as a broodmare in Sweden at Flammabygget and produced two offspring there. Among them is Almeto Leo, later renamed Sylver II (by Almeto Z), who jumped up to 1.60m (see photo 4). Baletta also has a Holsteiner-registered offspring named Acrobatic (by Acobat II), competing for Italy up to 1.40m. Even more impressively, Baletta's full brother is the famous Calvaro V (by Cantus), who competed with Swiss rider Willie Melliger. Together, they won two Olympic silver medals – one in Atlanta 1996 and the other as part of the team in Sydney 2000. Calvaro V is considered one of the best show jumping horses in the world. But there's more! Valetta IV (by Merano), dam of Calvaro V and Baletta, is also the sister of the incredibly successful licensed stallion Landadel. Interestingly, Landadel is the sire of the highly successful Fein Cera, widely regarded as one of the most perfect horses in terms of conformation. She was also extremely successful in international sport with Peter Wylde. To top it all off, Zino's great-great-granddam is not only the dam of Landadel, but also produced two additional licensed Holsteiner stallions: – Acadius (by Acord II) – Aurel (by Ahorn) All of this is in a direct maternal line!
