( Dvs han blir inte vitare med åren utan skiftar över året mellan att vara svartare och mer stålgrå). Han har lätt för att bära sig i form och gör det ofta automatiskt i hagen. Han är cool inför det mesta, men känslig och lyhörd för ryttaren, precis som rasen ska vara. Många stoägare har berättat hur trevliga deras avkommor blivit och hur trygga i sig själva de är. Pepper fribetäcker ett sto åt gången och lever året runt med ston och eventuella föl.
