Ivanhoe’s pedigree is full of elite ponies! His sire, Opbroeks Wicklow NFHR 158, is approved in Germany, by the Danish New Forest Association, and in DSP (Danish Sport Pony). He was named New Forest Stallion of the Year both in 2020 and 2021 in Denmark and received full approval with a score of 9 for overall impression. For DSP, he was named Stallion of the Year 2020, scored 10-10 in jumping, received a 10 in overall impression, and was awarded a gold medal. Wicklow became an A-pony in dressage already at age 6, when he won the 6-year-old dressage championship for both the Danish New Forest Association and DSP. Ivanhoe’s dam was Mare of the Year in Denmark 2017. His damsire is Elite, a highly influential stallion in pony sport, and has also competed successfully in dressage. His grandsire has sired several approved stallions and is also a major producer, with a successful dressage career at a high level. Ivanhoe was named the best 3-year-old New Forest stallion in Sweden at the 2024 stallion evaluation. Ivanhoe has a fantastic temperament, with his own engine and a strong “will to please.” He is an extremely willing, cheerful, and kind stallion who always tries to do the right thing. He was ridden in the forest by 13-year-olds already as a 3-year-old and was trained for driving at age 2. His full brother is an approved stallion in Norway.
