About Chagall de Toscane

Chagall de Toscane is a 2012 bay Selle Français stallion, standing 1.74m, by Norton d'Eole. Bred by Michel Aubertin in France, he's owned by Laura Hite. His sire Norton d'Eole, uterine brother to Mylord Carthago, had a remarkably long career at 2* and 3* level with breeder Eric Dewulf and comes from one of the most successful Selle Français damlines. His dam Karla de Toscane is full sister to Rio Olympic team gold medalist Rahotep de Toscane and herself won the French 7-year-old Championship before a brilliant breeding career. A finalist in the French Young Horse Championships from age 4 to 7, Chagall built a steady international record, first with Audrey Teixidor, placing in Grand Prix classes at Le Mans and Cluny. From 2021 he continued progressing under Grégory Wathelet's stable and Manuel Thiry, taking the lead at CSI4* Vejer de la Frontera in 2022 before being exported to the United States, where he's shown consistently improving results including wins in 1.40m classes. His first offspring already stand out for good attitude and pleasant conformation, tending toward a big frame with strong limbs and good movement. Frozen semen available via France Étalons.
