About Duke

Duke is a warmblood stallion born in 2016 in Germany, standing 168 cm. He was licensed in Hannover, Danish Warmblood, and Oldenburg. In fall 2018, Duke was licensed and named premium stallion in Hannover, where he was described as the most complete and classical dressage stallion in the collection. The stallion was purchased by Norwegian Kristin Andresen at the subsequent auction. Duke is a complete dressage stallion, ideally built with a supple appropriately long topline, correctly set neck with beautiful arch, and attractive head. He is appropriately uphill with good body substance while appearing modern and elegant. Duke has noble conformation with strong and very correct limbs plus excellent well-formed hooves. The stallion is rhythmic and elastic in all gaits with good strong hind legs that carry him supple and powerfully. Duke completed a strong material test in fall 2019 with 825 points. His breeding is unique from the Hanoverian mare line 3193405 which has produced several top horses in both dressage and show jumping. Dimaggio, who is the sire of Duke, died in 2015. Dimaggio won the World Championships for 5-year-old dressage horses in Arnhem in 2000 and later had several wins and placings at Intermediaire level. However, Dimaggio is best known as sire of an endless line of top dressage horses at the highest level. Great rideability characterizes this stallion line. Duke is tested free from OCD and WFFS.
