Totilas

Totilas is a black KWPN stallion born in 2000, bred by J.K. Visser and ZG Schuil in Broeksterwoude, the Netherlands. With Edward Gal, he won team gold, silver in the Special, and gold in the Freestyle at the European Championships in Windsor in 2009, setting world records in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle. He won the World Cup final in 's-Hertogenbosch in 2010 and set another world record in the Special at the CHIO Aachen, where judges awarded a score of 10 an extraordinary 28 times. At the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, he won team gold and double individual gold. Under Matthias Alexander Rath, he was the best horse of the German silver team at the European Championships in Rotterdam in 2011 and won team bronze at the European Championships in Aachen in 2015. Totilas ranks seventh among the world's best dressage sires in the WBFSH rankings. Among his nearly 30 licensed sons are Burg Cup and Louisdor Prize winner Total Hope OLD, who competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Glock's Total U.S., sixth individually at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Thiago GS OLD with team silver at the 2023 European Championships, and Take That, the second most expensive Hanoverian premium stallion with a knockdown price of 370,000 euros. His sire Gribaldi was Trakehner Champion Stallion, successful in Grand Prix with Edward Gal, and led the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires in 2014. He stands at stud with frozen semen at Paul Schockemoehle's facility in Mühlen, Germany.
