About Mosgaards Chucky DVH
Mosgaards Chuckyer is a super modern show jumping horse type. He has an excellent expression, is very well-built with a strong topline. Mosgaards Chucky is well conformed with a good foundation and was named the 2021 Danish Warmblood Show Jumping Colt of the Year. Since then, he has developed into a very harmonious stallion with good, large frame and a distinct stallion character.
Mosgaards Chucky gallops with good balance and adjustability and jumps with great overview, quick reactions, and especially a very good hind leg technique. He already presents himself well under saddle, and we look forward to continuing the training of this interesting stallion.
Casall SEM, the sire of Chucky, was himself an A-level show jumper with Stein Endresen.
Casall SEM was a top modern Danish-born stallion, approved and awarded in 2017, standing at Katrinelund. At approval, he was awarded 9 for type and 9 for jumping. Casall SEM completed an excellent 10-day test, and in 2018 he finished his material test with a total score of 835.5 points. Casall SEM also reached the finals of the Danish Riding Federation’s show jumping championship as a 5- and 6-year-old.
At 9 years old, Casall SEM competed in 150 cm classes internationally with Stein Endresen and was placed several times during the "Spring Tour" in Spain.
Casall SEM’s sire, Cabachon, was also ridden by Stein Endresen, and already at 8 years old he was well-known in the show jumping world. Cabachon competed in World Cup as an 8-year-old with great success and was subsequently sold to Ukraine, which is why he left the stallion station at Katrinelund.
In 2018, Cabachon had eight offspring participating in the young horse championships in Herning out of a total of 32 horses.
Casall SEM’s grandsire, Casall, is one of the world’s most winning show jumping stallions and was retired in 2017 after an outstanding career under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.
The dam line of Casall SEM comes from the well-known Holsteiner mare line 5064, which also includes Calido I. Additionally, the maternal grandmother is also by Calido I, so there is direct line breeding. Coronado I, the maternal grandsire, has a jumping index of 153 and is naturally an elite stallion. Casall SEM’s dam, Corona, is RDH-approved in Denmark, awarded and tested in Germany with for example 9 for jumping capacity. She was also selected for the elite mare show as a 2-year-old in Denmark. Corona has produced five foals over six seasons. The great-granddam by Calvados/Roman has produced five offspring, all of whom have competed at S-level jumping. The mare line includes several approved stallions who have competed at the highest level in jumping, including Little Rock.
In 2021, Mosgaards Chucky (bred by Martin Mosgaard) was named the Danish Warmblood Show Jumping Colt of the Year, and it is certainly no coincidence that we have high expectations for Mosgaards Chucky!
