About Top Star U.S.

Top Star U.S. is a dark bay Trakehner stallion born in 2023, bred by the Gellhaar family in Steinhau, Germany. He was named premium stallion at the 2025 Trakehner stallion market, where the jury highlighted his movement quality as among the very best of the licensing collection, with an elastic hindleg, a closed and stable back, and a way of going that meets the highest standards. He is a full brother to Trakehner riding horse champion Top Secret, who won gold with Lisa Volpp at the Trakehner Bundesturnier and defended his title in the four-year-old division with an overall score of 9.3. His sire Kwahu, a Trakehner premium stallion, won gold with Helen Langehanenberg at the Trakehner Bundesturnier for six-year-old dressage horses in 2023 and repeated the title at St. Georges level in 2024. His dam Tacco has produced 14 foals, including the Grand Prix-successful Topmodel with Ulrike Prunthaller and the dressage horses Tattoo, Taliska, and Tesla. His dam sire Cadeau, born in Denmark, was second reserve champion at his licensing, received the Elite Stallion title in 2009, and was named Trakehner Stallion of the Year in 2015. Five of his sons were licensed. In the third generation appears Sixtus, reserve champion, Elite Stallion, and Trakehner Stallion of the Year 2001, whose son Axis TSF competed at World and European Championships and reached the World Cup final twice with Terhi Stegars. Top Star U.S. stands at stud with fresh semen at Hengstenstation van Uytert in Heerewaarden, the Netherlands.
