About Meggle's Kap Verde

Meggle's Kap Verde is a Trakehner stallion born in 2021, bred by ZG Dr. Rudolf Trenschel u. Silke Ottmann-Trenschel in Germany and standing at Hengststation Bachl. He is a son of Helium (by Millennium), with Ivernel as his damsire, tracing to the Trakehner dam line Dohna'sche K-Familie via the grey stallion Ginster. His sire Helium was reserve champion at the 2015 Trakehner licensing and has proven to be a true-breeding dark horse with wins at medium (M) level dressage and high placings up to Prix St. Georges. He has produced five licensed sons to date, including the champion stallions Rheinglanz (2020) and Ferrari Forever (2019). Damsire Ivernel was a successful dressage horse with victories and placings up to advanced (S) level and has produced licensed sons including Kasimir, Prêt à Porter, Schönbrunn, and Imposant. His dam, state premium and elite mare Kreta II, was reserve champion at the Schleswig-Holstein central mare inspections (ZSE) and part of the celebrated champion family at the Schleswig-Holstein state show, with full siblings Kosima and the licensed, multiple S-winning Kasimir. Granddam Karissima, state premium and elite mare, was 1999 Champion Mare of the Year in Neumünster and a full sister of the successful advanced (S) level dressage horse Konradi. Charly Chaplin in the third generation won many advanced (S) level competitions under Christoph von Daehne and produced two licensed sons: Pyatt Charly and Polarzauber. The dam line leads to the very widespread branch of Kordel 107, which produced numerous licensed stallions and successful sport horses. Meggle's Kap Verde won the champion's sash at the 61st Trakehner Stallion Market in Neumünster in 2023. He has enormous charisma, is beautifully muscled with harmonious proportions, and has outstanding walk, very elastic and expansive movements with great rhythm, and a canter that always moves uphill with great elasticity and scope. His temperament and first-class character with plenty of inner calm are exemplary.
