Sanvaro

Sanvaro is an Oldenburg stallion born in 2005, bred by Gestüt Lewitz in Germany and standing at Hengststation Bachl. He is a son of Sandro Boy (by Sandro), with Calvaro Z as his damsire, tracing to the original Oldenburg dam line 46/Edoste, which has produced 17 licensed stallions. Damsire Calvaro Z competed internationally at the highest level under Jos Lansink and Michael and John Whitaker, and has developed into a true stamp stallion thanks to offspring such as Katchina Mail (Patrice Delaveau), Grafton (Connor Swail), and Sarena (Ben Maher). His dam Quilara competed under Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst at the Young Horse World Championships in Lanaken, was a top PSI horse worth €400,000, and is a half-sister to the international show jumper Quintera 17 with Leon Thijssen (NED). Quilara produced three 1.50m show jumpers. Granddam Quicosse produced four internationally successful show jumpers. Quick Star in the third generation won several Grand Prix with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum. In the last four generations of his dam line, numerous successful show jumpers at 1.40–1.60m level have been produced. Sanvaro competed successfully in show jumping up to 1.45m at the age of seven. As a young stallion, he was used for breeding for two seasons and produced offspring victorious up to 1.60m. Foremost among them is The Sinner, who won the 2021 World Cup show jumping in London with Martin Fuchs, following his 2019 victory. In 2021, Sanvaro ranked second on the Hippomundo Power Value list of stallions with offspring up to 12 years old. His offspring have jumped more than €1.1 million in prize money.
