During the Swedish Stallion Performance Test, Kane was described as a harmonious, cooperative, and active horse who works through his body in an uphill frame. He was awarded gait scores of 9.0 – 9.0 – 9.5 and was named the winner of the 2019 Stallion Performance Test. The test riders praised Kane’s rideability, highlighting his self-carriage and ability to vary his stride length. Kane won the SWB Stallion Trophy as a four-year-old with a record-breaking score of 9.5 – 10.0 (a total of 97.5%) from test rider Charlotte Dujardin. These were the highest marks awarded during the final of the four-year-old championship at the SWB Equestrian Weeks. Charlotte's comments about Kane included praise for his fantastic balance, self-carriage, and rideability—she described him as perfect for Grand Prix. In February 2020, Kane placed second with a score of 8.25 at his sport test in Münster-Handorf. Kane was gelded in 2023 to fully focus on his competition career.
