Future Illusion is a 2004 bay stallion bred and owned by Julia Hodkin of Future Sport Horses in Great Britain, by the Trakehner Fleetwater Opposition out of Future Illicit Affair, by The Outlaw. He is life-graded with SHB(GB) and life-approved by the AES. His sire Fleetwater Opposition won two European Junior eventing gold medals and is the sire of Yarlands Summersong (Olympic, World and European eventer) and Opposition Buzz (European team gold 2009). His dam is a SHB(GB) Head Stud Book mare and multiple champion hunter and sport horse; her pedigree carries Skippy, sire of Jumbo, and Criminal Law. Future Illusion was the British Equestrian Federation's Champion British-bred Stallion in 2009 and 2010 and has been BEF Champion Sire of Futurity Eventers. He evented at Novice level, won at Elementary level in dressage and was a multiple county show champion. Queen Elizabeth II selected him for one of her own mares. His offspring have reached CCI4* in eventing and won Supreme Championships at the Horse of the Year Show, an unusual combination of show-ring type and sporting toughness. The breeder describes him as producing good-looking, rideable horses with toughness and athleticism. Tested non-carrier for WFFS and PSSM1, and awarded the KWPN D-OC predicate.
