About Negro

Negro is a KWPN stallion born in 1995 by Ferro out of the keur preferent prestatie mare Fewrie (by Variant). He competed up to Grand Prix level himself under Anne van Olst, was awarded preferent status in 2012 and was named KWPN Stallion of the Year 2017. As a sire Negro has left a lasting mark: he is the sire of triple Olympic champion Valegro as well as the approved stallions Kjento, Nespresso and Netto, with more than thirty licensed sons in total. Through his daughters he is also the damsire of, among others, Glamourdale and Everdale. Negro belongs to Van Olst Horses in Den Hout, the Netherlands. Available via frozen semen. Stud fee EUR 1,500 excl. VAT (EUR 300 basic fee + EUR 1,200 when the mare is in foal); outside the Netherlands the full stud fee is paid up front. Frozen semen is sold only as pregnancies under a signed agreement with Van Olst Horses. Orders via the order form on vanolsthorses.com.

Do more in the Avla app

This is just a glimpse of what's here. The Avla app is where breeders plan their next foal, whether it's your first mare or your fortieth season. Open this stallion in the app and you get the full picture: the complete description, every photo, his competition results, the whole pedigree generation by generation, and his offspring with their own results and bloodlines.

And Avla goes well beyond browsing stallions. It’s your digital breeding partner, with you from the first “which stallion?” all the way to the foal on the ground. Calculate inbreeding between any mare and stallion in seconds, so you can match with confidence instead of crossing your fingers. Track your mare’s heat cycles, log every covering, treatment, and ultrasound, and follow her through pregnancy with a calendar that walks you week by week. And when you’re weighing your options, Stig, Avla’s AI breeding advisor, is there to talk through matches and answer your breeding questions like a friend who knows their bloodlines.

No scattered notebooks, no guesswork. Just your whole breeding journey in one place, free to download on the App Store and Google Play.
