About Zarenstern

Zarenstern is a 2022-born stallion bred by ZG Gut Füchtel, Familie von Merveldt, and owned by Lövsta Stuteri AB. He is approved in SWB and Oldenburg and is stationed at Lövsta Stjärnborg in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. His sire Zuperman earned his premium at the stallion performance test and took bronze at the World Young Horse Championships in 2023 with Beatrice Hoffrogge. His dam Relaunch is an elite and premium mare who has produced Freiherr Alexander (Christin Hilger, Medium dressage) and Florimour (Franz Trischberger, Medium** dressage). Granddam Raissa has produced Saxony Queen (Alessandra Czec-Kalfak, Medium dressage). The first four generations of the dam line are all elite mares, and the Sabalera line also produced Rhapsodie Queen, competed at Grand Prix by Isabell Werth, and the approved son Detroit, successfully campaigned at Grand Prix by Anna Zibrandtsen. Third dam Rhapsodie additionally produced It's Floris (Dana Klenk, Prix St. Georges). Zarenstern was champion stallion at the Oldenburg saddle licensing in April 2025 and placed second overall at the 2026 Swedish Warmblood performance test, scoring 8.5 for walk, trot, and canter. Test riders praised his attitude, willingness to work, contact, and balance.
