Luchetto H is a modern stallion with good frame and outstanding conformation, receiving a score of 9 for his exterior. He is a very harmonious, large-framed, and masculine stallion with a strong presence, a long, well-shaped and well-set neck, and a powerful, functional topline. Luchetto H canters with plenty of energy and power and shows excellent balance. He jumps in a thoughtful and correct way, using his whole body and demonstrating particularly strong hind leg technique. Luchetto H has an excellent temperament and is highly rideable. He already shows great promise in show jumping under saddle. Luchetto’s sire, Luigi d’Eclipse, is very correct in type. His attitude and ability over fences have made him one of the leading stallions in the international jumping scene. Luigi d’Eclipse is undoubtedly one of the most successful sport stallions in recent years. He proved this once again at the end of 2023 with a win in the GP** in Maastricht**, ridden by Michael van Vleuten. In early 2024, Luigi began his preparations for the Olympic Games in Paris, representing New Zealand with Uma O'Neill, who successfully qualified the stallion. Offspring by Luigi d’Eclipse are now also making a mark on the international scene, particularly in young horse classes. Luigi d’Eclipse comes from an extraordinary dam line: his grandmother is none other than the Belgian champion Aluna, who was a team member at the European Championships in Windsor and the Nations Cups in La Baule, Aachen, and Falsterbo. Aluna herself competed at Grand Prix level and is by the Capitol son Calato, sire of more than 25 international Grand Prix horses and 30 licensed sons. Calato combines the blood of three legendary stallions: Capitol, Landgraf, and Cor de la Bryère. It’s no surprise that we have great expectations for Luchetto H, both in breeding and in sport.
