About Chappeloup

Chappeloup is an Oldenburg stallion born in 2012, bred by Otto-Boje Schoof in Hedwigenkoog, Germany, and standing at Hengststation Bachl in Lower Bavaria since 2024. He is a son of Fergar Mail (by Laudanum xx – Adoret Z) and traces through Caretano Z and Coriano to Holstein line 2137, which has produced 17 licensed stallions to date. His sire Fergar Mail competed internationally as Chapultepec la Silla and is the sire of Singular LS la Silla (ridden by Marcus Ehning and Maria Getzer, SWE) and Lamm de Fétan (Nations Cup winner at CHIO Aachen 2009 with Thimothée Anciaume). His granddam Legende produced the proven sire Nekton, and his great-granddam Viola XI produced Capitol I, the foundation of Cento, who with Otto Becker won Grand Prix events in La Baule, Munich, Aachen, and Calgary, and was World Cup winner in 2000, Olympic team champion, and European team champion. Chappeloup qualified for the German National Show Jumping Championships in 2018, placed and won numerous competitions up to class M, and completed a highly regarded 50-day performance test in Schlieckau with a final show jumping score of 8.49. He is now successful internationally up to 1.55m under Magdalena Fischer (AUT). In 2024, he became Austrian State Champion with four clear rounds at 1.60m. At the German Masters in Stuttgart in 2025, Chappeloup was awarded the title of DSP Master Stallion.
