About Vintage One

Vintage One is a dark bay Oldenburg sport horse stallion born in 2018, bred by Böckmann Pferde GmbH in Lastrup, Germany. He was licensed in Vechta and began his sport career with Niels Bruynseels, placing in international young horse tours and competing at the World Championships for six-year-olds. His sire Vagabond de la Pomme, a son of show jumping World Champion Vigo d'Arsouilles, was among the top show jumping stallions in the world with Pénélope Leprevos, finishing second and eighth in the World Cup finals in Los Angeles in 2015 and Gothenburg in 2016, and representing France at the European Championships in 2017. Among his over 30 licensed sons are Jenson van't Meulenhof, who placed second in the Nations Cup final with Niels Bruynseels, and Major Tom, Olympic participant with Rodrigo Pessoa. His dam sire Numero Uno, a son of World Cup winner Libero H, won his stallion performance test and competed internationally with Marco Kutscher, receiving the 'preferent' title at the KWPN licensing in 2011 — the highest award in the Netherlands. His dam Ilonka competed at advanced (S) level show jumping and is the dam of licensed stallions Check In and Checkter, with Check In competing at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon. Vintage One stands at stud with fresh semen in Bonheiden, Belgium.
