Vigaro

Vigaro is a KWPN stallion born in 2002, bred by C. Wernsen in the Netherlands and standing at Hengststation Bachl in Germany. He is a son of Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve (by Narcos II), with Renville as his damsire, tracing to KWPN mare line Merrielijn 3, fokfamilie 81. Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve is an internationally sought-after benchmark for modern stallions and has produced numerous show jumping heroes. Damsire Renville is a son of the thoroughbred Courville xx, who has been highly influential in the Netherlands and is also the sire of Jasper, who won the German Spring Derby in 1976 with Hugo Simon. The Holstein stallion Farn, sire of the legendary Nimmerdor, appears in the third generation. His dam Kiaralda, from Merrielijn 3/fokfamilie 81, produced two other horses successful at 1.60m in addition to Vigaro. His grandmother also produced four offspring successful at 1.60m, including the internationally successful stallion Fighting Alpha with Lars Nieberg. The Holsteiner Amor (alias Heros) in the fourth generation was one of the most influential sires in Dutch sport horse breeding. Vigaro was the winner of international Grand Prix competitions over 1.60m under Gerco Schroeder (NED), Roelof Bril (NED), and Sevil Sabanci (TUR), and competed most recently in the young horse category with Fiete Constantin Krebs (GER), who rode him to fourth place in the German Junior Championships over 1.45m in 2020 — his last year of competition at the age of 18. His offspring have won prize money of more than €850,000 and a striking number from the Netherlands have broken through to the upper echelons of international show jumping. He ranks among the top 100 stallions worldwide and has three licensed sons. Vigaro brings a lot of canter, top reflexes, ability, and willingness to perform.
