De l'Or DVH

De l’Or made his debut at the Hanoverian licensing in October 2011, where he quickly became a crowd favorite. During the licensing process, he proved to be one of the best and was awarded the premium stallion title. He was subsequently purchased for the stud at Katrinelund in collaboration with Kristin Andresen. The name De l’Or means “made of gold,” and this stallion of the very best type was also described during the licensing as a stallion of the future. De l’Or has three large, regular, and rhythmical gaits, with his canter being particularly remarkable. He possesses a fantastic temperament; calm in the stable and both willing and hardworking under the rider. In February 2012, at the private stallion presentation in Verden, De l’Or already showed great rideability and an excellent attitude toward work as a dressage and breeding stallion. In the autumn of 2013, he completed his performance test in Schlieckau, Germany, where he passed with flying colors, earning a dressage score of 8.4 points. His sire, Dancier, was the champion stallion in Hanover in 2004 and won the material test with 146 points in 2006. Dancier reached the final of the Bundeschampionat in 2008 and is now trained to S-level. Behind De l’Or is a solid mare line (stutenstamm der Jucunde), built through Rubinstein and Argentan, so De l’Or carries the well-known Absatz line on both his dam’s and sire’s side. This mare line has produced several Grand Prix dressage horses and a few show jumpers through Espri. The most famous stallion from this line in Denmark is Voltaire, by Wedekind. We are pleased with De l’Or’s impact on his offspring, all of whom are of very fine type with noble heads, beautiful, well-set front ends, high-set necks, and consistent format. De l’Or generally improves both type and movement in his progeny and already, despite a relatively small number of offspring, has several licensed sons. De l’Or has been confirmed free of OCD and is WFFS negative.
