About Kjento

Negro, awarded Preferent status by KWPN, is a highly influential son of Ferro, who also holds Preferent status. Through his sons and grandsons, Negro has proven to be a major asset to international dressage breeding, and he is notably the sire of Kjento, who clearly represents this powerful bloodline. At his evaluation, Kjento received outstanding scores: 8.5 for walk (2 × 8.5), 9.0 for trot (2 × 9.0), 9.0 for canter, 9.0 for self-carriage and balance, 9.0 for rideability and temperament, and 9.0 for talent, resulting in a total score of 90 points. Kjento won the first round of the PAVO Cup semi-final in 2019 and later finished second in the final. He also received high scores at the stallion competitions in Kronenberg, Ermelo, and Zuidbroek, where he again placed second in the final, just one point behind the winner. At the KWPN Stallion Show in 2021, Kjento was awarded a perfect 10.0 for trot and 9.5 for canter, securing a top placing with a total score of 90 points. That same year, he became World Champion for six-year-old dressage horses with Charlotte Fry in the saddle. The following year, the pair repeated their success by winning the seven-year-old final at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. As an eight-year-old, Kjento made his debut at Intermediaire I level. Kjento’s first offspring are still young but already show very promising qualities. His sire, Negro, has produced several Grand Prix-level horses, including Valegro, and also appears as damsire of stallions such as Glamourdale and Everdale. The dam, Zoriana (elite pref IBOP-dr PROK), was highly ranked nationally as a three-year-old, finishing third overall and receiving a score of 10.0 for trot. She now competes in dressage, as did the granddam Poriana (keur pref pres sport-dr). The dam line has produced a large number of competition horses. The damsire, Jazz, is a renowned dressage sire and is often found to great effect in the second or third generation of pedigrees. Kjento is approved via a one-mare license with SWB, KWPN, Oldenburg, and Westphalia.

And Avla goes well beyond browsing stallions. It’s your digital breeding partner, with you from the first “which stallion?” all the way to the foal on the ground. Calculate inbreeding between any mare and stallion in seconds, so you can match with confidence instead of crossing your fingers. Track your mare’s heat cycles, log every covering, treatment, and ultrasound, and follow her through pregnancy with a calendar that walks you week by week. And when you’re weighing your options, Stig, Avla’s AI breeding advisor, is there to talk through matches and answer your breeding questions like a friend who knows their bloodlines.
