About Indigo de Talma

Indigo de Talma is a 2018 bay Selle Français stallion, standing 1.71m, by Quick Star. Bred and owned by Michel Guiot in France. His sire Quick Star was a top international competitor with M. Michaels-Beerbaum and became a true foundation sire, with offspring including Big Star (Olympic team gold London, individual gold Rio, with Nick Skelton) and Orient Express (World individual and team silver in Caen with Patrice Delaveau). His dam Daytona de Talma competed at 4 and 5 before dedicating herself to breeding; Indigo is her oldest offspring. The extended damline, France's Selle Français damline n°93, includes Reggae de Talma, one of the best living broodmares in the world, whose progeny includes Une de l'Othain (winner, Hamburg 5*GP) and Cocktail de Talma (GP5* winner with G. Wathelet). Indigo had a strong young horse career himself, placing 8th in the French 4-year-old Championship and being awarded "Excellent." He continued successfully as a 5-year-old, again qualifying for the French Young Horse Championships. 2023 was his first season at stud, so his first foals are still very young.
