He has three excellent gaits with lots of power and gives a fantastic wow feeling to ride.” — Sofie Lexner Janeiro Platinum was approved in DVH after completing a very good 35-day performance test in 2018, receiving a total score of 850. He was also highly praised for his good rideability and attitude toward work. At the Swedish performance test in 2021, he was awarded exterior scores of 9-9-7-8-9. As a six-year-old, he won the qualifier for the Danish young horse championship with 9.74 points. He received a perfect 10 for both canter and rideability, 9.6 for trot, 9.3 for walk, and an impressive 9.8 for overall impression. Unfortunately, the final was canceled due to COVID-19. He was also selected to represent the Netherlands at the 2020 Young Horse World Championships. In autumn 2021, Janeiro Platinum and Sofie Lexner won the Agria Star of Tomorrow at Elmia with a score of 78.9%. His sire Sezuan was Elite-premiered in Danish Warmblood in 2019 and then named Stallion of the Year in the same federation in 2020. He won the Young Horse World Championships at ages 5, 6, and 7. His dam, Black Beauty L. Platinum, is elite-premiered. His granddam Kulia is by the breeding legend Ferro, who was part of the Dutch team that won silver at the 1998 World Championships, 1999 European Championships, and the 2000 Olympics. Ferro is elite-premiered in KWPN and has sired over 35 approved stallions, including Negro (sire of, among others, Valegro), Metall, and Rousseau (sire of, among others, Blue Hors Zack).
