About Bordeaux

Bordeaux is an exceptional dressage stallion born in 2006 in the Netherlands, bred by the Lisman family in Nijmegen. The stallion was awarded the prestigious title of Preferent at the KWPN inspection in 2023 and Elite status within the Oldenburg Verband in 2025, confirming his outstanding impact on international dressage breeding. Bordeaux was named champion at the KWPN Stallion Inspection in 2009 and became Performance Champion the same year. His competition career culminated at Grand Prix level under several international riders. Bordeaux has established himself as one of the world's leading breeding stallions with a ninth place in the WBFSH ranking in 2024, despite a relatively limited number of offspring. He has produced 50 approved sons at stud farms across Europe and 18 offspring competing at Grand Prix level, including Olympic medalists Bluetooth (gold, Germany) and Fame (bronze, England). Through his sire United and dam line via Gribaldi, Donnerhall, Rousseau and Angelo xx, Bordeaux represents one of dressage's most distinguished bloodlines. His dam Adone is full sister to the legendary Rembrandt, Olympic champion with Nicole Uphoff, and Ahlerich, who won European championships, World Championships and the Olympics with Dr. Reiner Klimke.
