Ogrion des Champs is a 2002 chestnut Selle Français stallion, standing 1.64m, by Kannan out of Kara des Champs (damsire Domino de Moyon). Bred by Jean-Yves Lemasle in France, he was owned by IFCE (Institut français du cheval et de l'équitation). Note: per multiple French sporthorse press sources, Ogrion des Champs died in 2019; his frozen semen stock remains available for order. Coming third in the French 4-year-old Championship earned him Elite status, and he began his 5-year-old season with 8 clear rounds out of 9 before being retired to stud. His sire Kannan ranks among the best sires worldwide for over a decade, with offspring including Olympic gold medalist Nino des Buissonnets (S. Guerdat). Ogrion became one of the most prolific French sires of competitive sport horses, with offspring reaching top level including Tonic des Mets (CSIO 5*, GP 3* winner in Knokke, licensed stallion), Tam Tam du Valon (CSI 5* winner with M. Fuchs), and Epona du Quesnoy (GP 3* winner in Saint Tropez). He was also consistently ranked among the top sires of the French Young Horse Championships.
