About Spartacus

In Spartacus’ pedigree, you find the essence of the strongest jumping blood from Hannover. His sire, Stakatto, won the Bundeschampionat in jumping as a young horse with an impressive 9.9 for jumping and was for many years, alongside his significant breeding career, a prominent Grand Prix showjumper with Eva-Marie Bitter. In 2007, Stakatto was named Stallion of the Year in Hannover due to his outstanding progeny and sporting achievements. The maternal grandsire, Grannus, is considered one of the leading foundation sires in European sport horse breeding, with numerous outstanding offspring. In Spartacus’ lineage, there is an interesting linebreeding to Hannover’s top jumping bloodlines, where the combination of Stakatto and Grannus has reinforced the high-performing Gotthard and Goldfish blood, appearing no less than three and five times respectively on both the dam and sire sides! Spartacus’ dam line is also well consolidated for jumping; his dam, Galina, has produced internationally successful showjumper Elton John (by Acordado I), who was very successful with Hergen Forkert.
