About Crelido DVE 752

Crelido’s approval description from Holstein speaks for itself: An exceptionally sympathetic, well-built son of Calido I, who also has a very modern expression. His expressive head, good neck set, and tight back complement an excellent topline. The correct conformation confirms this evaluation of type and exterior. The stallion’s movement is characterized by spacious galloping and a trot with very good swing and carrying capacity. Crelido’s jumping technique and abilities were confirmed when he won the Danish Equestrian Federation’s jumping championship for 4-year-olds, where he notably received a 10 for rideability. As a 6-7-year-old, he achieved placings in MB/MA classes and was placed in his first S-level competition. Together with Olympic rider Stein Endresen, Crelido had an impressive career with wins and placings in Geneva, Barcelona, and Spruce Meadows in Canada in 2009. The success continued in 2010 with clear rounds at CSIO Linz (155 cm), CSIO Gijon (150 cm), CSI Oslo World Cup Grand Prix, and a good performance at CSI Lyon. In 2011, they were again clear at CSI Arezzo and achieved a third place at CSI Odense. In 2012, Crelido was named “Stallion of the Year” in Danish Warmblood and won a class at the CSIO in Bernstorffsparken. Also in 2013, Crelido was placed in CSIO 5-star events in Oslo and Helsinki. Crelido’s pedigree has a solid foundation with 7 crosses of Cottage Son, 4 crosses of Cor de la Bryère, and 3 crosses of Ramzes blood. He also has about 40% Thoroughbred blood. Over the years, Crelido has distinguished himself as the sire of bronze, silver, and gold medal mares. His offspring have also made positive marks under saddle in both show jumping and dressage arenas. Charmeur, ridden by Astrid Gemal, has multiple wins in Danish Equestrian Federation championships and has represented Denmark at the Young Horse World Championships, including at the Falsterbo Horse Show. Charmeur has since been trained up to Grand Prix level. Corinna, bred by Stutteri Hove, became Australian champion in 2019 and was part of the Olympic long list for Tokyo 2020. Crelido offspring have also made their mark at the Young Horse World Championships in jumping at Zangersheide and on international show jumping circuits, including Damgårdens Extens. Crelido is sire to several approved breeding stallions, including Svalegårds Gold Crelido. Although Crelido is now a senior gentleman, he is still in excellent shape and has very good semen quality! Crelido has been confirmed free from OCD and is WFFS negative.
