About Franklin

Franklin is a dark bay KWPN stallion born in 2010, bred by Veehandel Musterd in Hooge Zwaluwe, the Netherlands. He is KWPN Champion Stallion, stallion performance test winner, and World Championship finalist, and has been named Elite Stallion in Denmark in recognition of his sport and breeding achievements. He has competed up to Inter I level. Among his licensed sons are Reserve Champions Franklin's Love PS and Kadans, Oldenburg Regional Championship bronze medallist Fair Deal, Aage Ravn's Trophy winner Slangerupgaard's Flottenheimer, and Straight Horse Finest Hour and Franzé, licensed in Denmark. In sport, Francis Drake OLD with Leonie Richter placed eighth at the World Championships for young dressage horses, and Fendi with Sönke Rothenberger placed in St. Georges. His offspring Faretti was sold for 150,000 euros at the Nordic International Sales Auction. His sire Ampère, KWPN Champion Stallion and stallion performance test winner, has produced successful Grand Prix horses, and his daughter's son Valverde became Westphalian Champion Stallion and German Champion. His dam sire Ferro won three team silver medals with the Dutch team at the 1998 WEG, 1999 European Championships, and 2000 Olympics with Coby van Baalen. Franklin stands at stud with fresh semen at Helgstrand Dressage in Vodskov, Denmark.
