About Armitages Boy

ARMITAGES BOY is a 2002 bay Oldenburg stallion by Armitage out of a Feo de Lauzelle-sired dam, bred by Edwin Oude Kamphuis in the Netherlands. Standing 161 cm, he built an outstanding sport career under two nations. With Aymeric de Ponnat he won Nations Cups at Gijon (2012), Lummen (2013) and La Baule (2014), plus the 2013 Barcelona Nations Cup Final, and represented France at the 2013 Herning European Championships. Later carrying Italy's colors with Lorenzo De Luca, he won the 2017 St Gallen Nations Cup and placed third in the 2019 Leipzig 5* Grand Prix, and competed at the 2017 Goteborg European Championships before retiring from sport in 2019. His breeding career is already paying off: Hippy Boy d'Azur and Festival d'Argouges, both licensed sons, are competing at CSI 1.45m level, Foxy de la Roque has jumped up to CSI 4*, and Ermitage d'Argouges won a CSI2* Grand Prix at 1.45m. He passes on carefulness, intelligence and strength to his offspring, and is best matched with mares carrying a well-bound topline.
