We at Katrinelund are proud to offer Hesselhøj Donkey Boy in our stallion program! This ultra-modern stallion is already recognized as a flagship for Danish horse breeding and is bred on the best Danish dressage bloodlines.
Hesselhøj Donkey Boy has it all: beauty, size, and an exceptionally supple movement in all gaits, which is why it was natural that he was named premium stallion at his 3-year-old approval in 2015, and the following year, in 2016, he was named champion stallion of the 4-year-old group.

Hesselhøj Donkey Boy’s sire, ERA Dancing Hit, was himself a champion stallion known for charm, size, and movement. Unfortunately, we lost this stallion too early in breeding, but in his short breeding career, he became a recognized name throughout Europe.
His dam, Søbakkehus Kamilja, is an advanced dressage horse (A-horse) and the fifth generation of elite mares directly from this fantastic mare line.
The damsire, Milan, also a champion stallion, is remembered by all as a horse of international class.
The wonderful mare line behind Hesselhøj Donkey Boy originally comes from a Hanoverian mare named Amuratha, born in 1926 and later exported to Sweden where she became a foundation mare in the Swedish “mare line 36.” Over the years, this mare line has produced over 11 approved stallions and several Olympic participants.
Hesselhøj Donkey Boy not only delivers results himself; his offspring also shine and have met all expectations both nationally and internationally.
Hesselhøj Donkey Boy is the sire of several approved stallions—including the World Young Horse Championship silver and gold medalist Hesselhøj Downtown; the three silver medal stallions Hesselhøj Donkey Boss, Hesselhøj Double Up, and not least Svalegårds Hot Driver, who has been awarded the Åge Ravn Challenge Trophy and named champion stallion.
On the mare side, Hesselhøj Donkey Boy has also been very prominent as the sire of several medal mares, including multiple gold medal mares and also Danish Warmblood’s Mare of the Year, Diva Holmklit.
Hesselhøj Donkey Boy has been confirmed free from OCD and is WFFS negative.
